A PILLBOX SOMETIMES IS MORE THAN JUST A PILLBOX

You probably thought a pillbox was just a round container for storing pills. During British rule of Palestine under the British Mandate, they constructed circular concrete watchtowers with steel doors and gun slits at important junctions all over the country to suppress the Arab Revolts from 1936-39. Three of these “pillboxes” still stand in Jerusalem.
